No One Is Illegal Radio (February 2009)

No One Is Illegal Radio reports about the frontline struggles for justice, dignity and self-determination by migrants, refugees and indigenous peoples.

The February 2009 edition of No One Is Illegal Radio focuses on racial profiling, with in-studio guests ROBYN and NEIL of PROJECT X, as well as recorded testimonies about racism by youth based in the neighborhood of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (NDG). We also highlight this Saturday's March in Solidarity with the Villaneuva family in Montreal-Nord.

Saturday: MARCH WITH THE VILLANUEVA FAMILY

The Villaneuva family has called a demonstration for this SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7 at 1pm at Parc Henri-Bourassa (corner of Pascal & Rolland) in support of their demands regarding the public inquiry into the killing of their son and brother, Fredy, by the Montreal police.

PROJECT X: supporting youth surviving institutional racism and racial profiling

This edition of No One Is Illegal includes in-studio guests Robyn and Neil of Project X, based in the Notre-Dame-de-Grace neighborhood of Montreal. Project X's activities include recording the testimonies and reflections of youth about racism and racial profiling, which we also share on the show.
